Mrs. Rasika Basnayake
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce!
Mrs. Rasika Basnayake attended schools in her home country Sri Lanka where she subsequently progressed to university level. At University of Sri Jayewardenepura, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with First Class Pass, specializing in International Trade. She is also partly qualified in Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK exams.

Mrs. Basnayake has worked in the education field starting as a Tutor in University of Sri Jayewardenepura, then moving on as a visiting lecturer in University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka from 2004 to 2006. She was then employed as an Accounting Lecturer in Seychelles Polytechnic in 2006. From 2009 she also undertook duties of Course Leader for the Accounting & Business Studies Programme Area.

In 2015 Mrs Basnayake moved to her current position as AAT Coordinator and Internal Quality Assurance Moderator, ensuring the successful delivery of AAT courses. Mrs Basnayake also undertakes teaching modules for both full-time and part time AAT students. Mrs Basnayake is also a member of the SBSA Governing Board.

Mrs. Basnayake is very passionate about teaching and a very innovative lecturer. She is well regarded as a dedicated lecturer who is able to explain very well in her expertise area. The Academy is proud to have such a person who is determined to take SBSA to greater heights.
